Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering and it is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. The department of Civil Engineering, established in 2013, was the first branch introduced in this college. The department boasts of highly qualified faculty and well-equipped labs for field work.

Main Features of Civil Department in MSIET:  1. To create, disseminate and integrate knowledge of civil engineering for the betterment of society. 2. To develop sustainable applications to improve civil engineering practices. 3. To develop skills among students and faculty by identifying potentials and knowledge through innovative research for challenging applications in civil engineering. 4. To develop center of excellence in civil engineering to carry out research in the areas of infrastructure and eco –friendly technologies. 5. The annual intake capacity is 60 students per year in B.Tech. Degree course.
